The Cushing Learning Academy is an alternative avenue for a high school education to meet the needs of students who wish to enroll in this program. Students can maintain social ties and are encouraged to be involved in extracurricular activities. Required core classes and electives are offered through Edmentum. Students master the curriculum at their own pace. If they know a subject well, they will progress faster through the course. If the student is struggling, they have the time to spend on understanding the concepts and have the help of a certified instructor. This program will benefit students allowing them the flexibility to prepare to be college or career ready.
All students will complete a traditional enrollment form. Students interested in the Cushing Learning Academy will complete an application expressing interest.
The student and parent must both be a part of the interview meeting. The only exception is if the student is 18, or older, and is living independently from their parents.
